Signs of the times?

I just learned that my brother and his girlfriend are being evacuated because of the fires down in Southern California. Along with this, when I opened the newspaper this morning, there was a photo of the LAPD in riot gear standing on the lawn of the LA Temple because of the protesters sitting on the wall. There is all sorts of stuff happening across the nation, but a great deal of contension and problems seems centered here in California. I worry over my family and friends being in harms way. Hopefully things will quiet down and the fires will be controlled. I'm nowhere near ready for things to get worse.
